March, the first month of spring, is when skiing becomes a truly exquisite pleasure. Not just because the ski pass is free and guests receive a 50% discount when they want to soothe their limbs in the hot waters of the thermal spas after a long day on the slopes. In fact, there are plenty more reasons: while you are enjoying a leisurely breakfast – with a different theme every day, from Emperor’s Breakfast, Poacher’s Breakfast and Mountain Breakfast to Carinthian, Viennese, Fish and Bavarian Breakfast – the warm rays of the March sun will create a layer of firn on the snow, thus presenting you with the perfect groundwork for your carving session. At lunchtime, the comfortable deckchairs outside the 23 ski chalets invite you to enjoy the year’s first sun bath. The perfect end to a perfect day will no doubt be the Chill & Swing in the Einkehr Lounge or a wine-tasting session with produce from the best vineyards in the country.

Look forward to the broad variety of experiences that awaits you at the Trattlerhof and to unadulterated pleasure from the very first carving turn to the very last sip of wine. Welcome to the first month of spring!

Dynamic days

Sunshine, skiing & spas. This amazing combination is particularly good value in March: not only is the ski pass free, but guests also receive a 50% discount on the entry to the Therme Römerbad or St. Kathrein spas. This way, the Ski-Spa Days are now available from just € 379 per person and 3 nights – and that’s without taking into account the 15% discount on all CALÉ wellness and beauty treatments. Let your dynamic turns on the piste take you straight to the après-ski: from Thursday until Sunday, you can chill out every night in a different chalet, complete with live music and campfires. It’s as easy as that: "Super Ski Package"

Precious grapes

370 years ago, the Trattlerhof was granted the privilege to serve wine by the Jesuit order. At the time, the wine was brought to the high valley of Bad Kleinkirchheim from a trader based in the Gailtal Valley. This century-old wine tradition is continued by Trattler host Jakob Forstnig jun. and his “Wine-Growers on the Mountain” event series that brings some of Austria’s best vintners such as Heinrich Gernot from Gols, Andreas Kollwentz from Großhöflein, Karl Schauer from Kitzeck and Hans Preschitz from Neusiedl to the Trattlerhof during March and April.
